loss of appetite not sure why.

Monday, April 11th, 2011

I am a mum of 2 my youngest is 10 months old. after having my youngest i seemed to lose my baby weight alot quicker but i remember in Oct last year (2010) i was 9 stone.I got to 8 and a half stone in Dec 2010 (this was my pre baby weight) i WASNT trying to lose weight i was quite lucky that it just come off
anyway since then ive dropped to 7stone 10lbs which is roughly 11 lbs in 16 weeks due to lack of appetite it all stemmed .I did have an endoscopy back in Feb which found gastritis and duodenitis caused by h pylori bacteria I went on the triple treatment and assume its gone but i still have no appetite i would like to point out I have only lost 4 lbs in the last 9 weeks the loss before was before the h pylori diagnosis
Im due to get a breath test to see if this has gone this week
but as regards to the loss of appetite i have never been a “big” eater but never been this bad i just dont feel hungry i have told my doctor this and she doesn’t seem worried should i get a 2nd opinion.

has anyone else had this problem.
have i lost enough weight to worry.
is this classed as unintentional weight loss even though its due to loss of appetite.
should i get a second opinion.

thanks in advance :0)

Constant burning in stomach.

Wednesday, March 30th, 2011

I am 19 years old, female. And I have gotten a menstrual period and blood pregnancy test, FYI. About a month ago I was getting some night time nausea that alerted me, because I am hardly ever sick. I wouldn’t throw up, but I would get fevers and sleep it off. Then about a week later I got a constant burning sensation in my upper stomach that just wouldn’t go away. I took prilosec that only helped a little, so I was referred for an upper GI scope. No ulcers were found, or anything at all, just a MILD gastritis. Now the burning is still there. And its constant. Its a little better after I eat but it always comes back. Me being so young I am a little alarmed since the pain is all of the time. Any ideas. Please get back to me soon, thanks.

What is causing my pain.

Saturday, March 26th, 2011

Since June of last year I have had frequent stomach aches. I am 15 years old. They are not sharp pains, they are more of a constant nauseous feeling. I always feel like I am about to vomit, but instead I just burp. The pains usually happen in the evening, but they have started to happen as soon as I wake up also. They stop me from doing things because I always feel so weak and I just don’t want to be around anyone. When the pain occurs I usually drink alot of water or if I can get my hands on some sprite that usually helps a bit. I take acid reducers also, sometimes Tums and sometimes Zantac, but they don’t work all the time. All I want to do is sit on the toilet for hours until the pain passes. I want is this horrible pain to disappear. Ive looked it up online, and my symptoms could mean I am allergic to Lactose or Wheat or I could even have Gastritis. My symptoms are nausea, constipation, diarrhea, belching, passing gas, headaches, chills, and dizziness. Please let me know if you have any insight. I have to get this cured. Thank you.

can somebody help me.

Will Zofran ODT 8mg tabs still work if I swallowed it with soda instead of letting it disolve in my mouth.

Saturday, February 19th, 2011

The doc gave me Zofran for my queasy feeling with the flu or gastritis bug I’m suffering with. It’s a dissolving tablet, and the taste is awful. I took just took one but instead of letting it dissolve I swallowed it whole with some soda. Will it still work for me on preventing vomiting, or will it work less, or not at all since I didn’t let it dissolve on my tongue and swallow it with my salvia.
Thank you so very much Fisher Sir or Mam. I really can’t thank you enough for your time and fast answer. You put a very sick and nervous woman at ease tonight.

What are these symptoms.

Past two months, I’ve been having stomach problems that have been presumed to be gastritis (nausea, belching, low grade fever, some pain, etc.)
Recently, I’ve been feeling worse (over the past week). I woke up today feeling better, and so I went off to school ready for the day. Soon after arriving at school, i began to feel increasingly nauseous and generally under the weather. It got so bad I wasn’t sure if i was going to throw up or not, so I went home. I got home at around 10ish in the morning, and it is 630 now. My nausea has not really gone down or up, and I haven’t had vomiting or diarrhea; just very excessive belching, a very very dull headache and a little lethargy.
The nausea I’ve experienced today has been more of a sick feeling than in the past 2 months, and even though I have been experiencing stomach problems for a while now I was wondering if this could sound like a stomach virus. or if this still sounds like the gastritis.
Also, can you have a stomach virus without vomiting and diarrhea.
NEED OPINIONS PLEASE

Complicated Medical Question.

Sunday, November 28th, 2010

I know I’ve asked this before, but I’m concerned.
Hi. I need a little help in figuring out what is wrong with me. I am 20 years old adn I weigh 130 pounds. I have had a very stressful life. My doctor told me I probably have PTSD or bi-polar disorder, but I never went to a therapist. Since I was about 16 (give or take a year) I have been lethargic and depressed. I have also noticed that my stomach always seems VERY bloated. As if I were pregnant. For the past 2 years I’ve noticed that my stomach is always upset or hurting. I’ve also noticed that I’ve become more and more lethargic, irritable, exhausted, dizzy, etc. without exerting much energy if any at all. I eat a lot of foods that contain iron. Sometimes I feel like I crave foods with iron in them. I sleep 10 or more hours if possible and I am always tired. I have black circles around my eyes(so does my mother and father). Another problem I have had during the past two years is a bacterial infection that was treated but it came back (I didn’t know my fiance had it also) and I have been unable to go to the doctor. Basically, I feel like my body is shutting down. I know this is not normal for a 20 year old. I think I may have gastritis and/or anemia. My question is what do you think could be wrong with me and what should I do to get rid of it. I know I need to go to the doctor, but I am unemployed right now. I will go as soon as possible. Today I drank 4 cups of coffee and got Christmas decorations out. By the time I did that I felt as if I needed to go to sleep. I felt very dizzy today as well as very nauseous. I have also been having hot flashes since yesterday that turn my face red and make me sweat. Today and yesterday I’ve noticed that I have thick, dark, and smelly stool. I am currently on my period as well. My last question is do I need immediate medical attention.

(I’m pretty sure I have a yeast overgrowth problem)
Thank you.

Large Bumps and veins on back of tongue.

Monday, November 15th, 2010

I went to the doctor yesterday and he said I could have a stomach ulcer and that I have gastritis, my throat and tongue are swollen. My tongue is all red with lots of large bumps in the back and red veins and I can’t really see the back of my throat because my uvula is stuck to my tongue so it’s all blocked. What could be wrong I’m really worried and it hurts pretty bad.
